May 100k – the Dietetics Way!

This May, the wider Dietetics team laced up once again for the 100k Your Way Challenge — and what a month it turned out to be!

We split ourselves into two teams — the Runner Beans and the Scrambled Legs — with the goal of completing 100 km per person throughout the month. This year, our teams collectively achieved an impressive 2981km. Leading the charge was our Professional Lead, Vanessa Smith, who contributed a staggering 567 km on her own. Her efforts earned her 3rd place overall among all individuals who surpassed the 100 km mark. A true example of leadership in motion.

The easy camaraderie (and the not‑so‑subtle competitiveness) among teammates added to the fun, motivating everyone to squeeze in as many steps as possible. But beyond the friendly rivalry, our shared purpose remained clear: to inspire each other and our patients by highlighting the powerful benefits of physical activity for both physical and mental wellbeing.

In the end, the Runner Beans claimed victory, finishing 4th place overall among all participating teams.

A huge congratulations to everyone who took part. The Dietetics teams showed incredible commitment, teamwork, and enthusiasm — and you can be sure we’ll be back next year, ready to go even further.
