The Unintentional Injuries and Safer Sleep Team

Our Unintentional Injuries and Safer Sleep team provide support for parents and carers in Hull to reduce accidents in the home for the 0-4 age range and reduce Sudden Infant Death Syndrome in 0-12 months.

What we do

  • Attend events and groups across Hull advising parents and carers on how to reduce accidents in the home and SIDS.
  • Train professionals working with families aged 0-4 around reducing unintentional injuries.
  • Deliver Safer Sleep training for professional working with the under 1’s.
  • Provide 1-1 sessions for parents and carers at home to support in preventing accidents in the home.
  • Reduce A&E visits and hospital admissions due to unintentional injuries.

Our East Riding 0-19, Integrated Specialist Public Health Nursing Service comprises of health visitors, school nurses, health and development practitioners and administrators, working together to deliver the healthy child programme.

My Mental Health Support Team (MyMHST)

We support children and young people aged 5-18 in many schools across Hull and East Riding of Yorkshire, helping children, young people and those who care for them with their mental health and emotional wellbeing.

You can just drop in to have a chat with one of our team, and scales are available if you would like you baby or child weighing.

We are a team of experienced mental health and learning disability practitioners who provide a single point of access for emotional and mental health referrals.

Infant Feeding

We have a specialist infant feeding team for Hull and East Riding.
