Sally F

I am extremely excited to be working within the Sensory Processing Team, continuing to help and support the children within our community.

I have worked as an occupational therapist in a wide range of areas and previously worked within the paediatric OT service. From joining this team I quickly realised that my passions are for working with children and their families and thoroughly enjoy the challenges and rewards that this brings. Sensory integration theory is based on the premise that children have an inner drive to develop; this mirrors my beliefs and my continuous motivation to support children with sensory opportunities to play, grow and love life. I’m a positive person with a love of nature and the outdoors.

Hannah

My passion is working with children and young people with sensory processing differences and their families. Since qualifying as an Occupational Therapist, I have gained a wide range of experience working with young people and their families, through the NHS and the private sector.

I love seeing the impact that I can make on the lives of these families through sharing my knowledge around sensory processing differences. In my spare time I love knitting, yoga, gardening and going on adventures with my family and our dog.

Zoe

I love working as an Occupational Therapist and supporting children, young people, and their families with their sensory differences! I’m really proud of the Sensory Service and the work we do and I especially enjoy that a day at work can involve dancing around in a body sock! When I’m not working, I love to travel and explore and to learn about other cultures, foods and places.

Sally W

Understanding and supporting people with sensory processing differences to realise their strengths and overcome any challenges has been my passion for 13 years.

I am really enthusiastic about my work in the sensory processing service and I am always looking to develop my skills. I pride myself on being professional, friendly and caring. I am family orientated and also love to cook – I’m a real foodie!

Sophie

I am a Specialist Occupational Therapist with a background in Learning Disabilities and Mental Health. I work across both the Sensory Processing Hub and Sensory Schools Outreach Service.

My passion for Sensory Integration is what inspired me to train as an Occupational Therapist, and I am committed to supporting children, young people and the people in their lives to better understand and navigate their sensory experiences.

Outside of work, I like to spend time with my family and our dogs, I also like cooking and going to the gym and swimming.

Diane

I am one of the Administration Assistant for the Sensory Processing Team, and my aim is to help deliver quality support to the Team and everyone who accesses our service.

I love working in the Sensory Processing Service team as everyone is so positive and professional. I am especially proud of helping children and families in and around Hull and East Riding of Yorkshire. I have worked in education locally for many years and have lots of skills and knowledge to help everyone I encounter as part of my role. I love gardening, eating cake and I love to walk my dogs, being in nature and walking in the woods and countryside is very important to me and it makes me feel very happy and thankful.

Tess

As an administrator I have worked in the NHS for about 20 years and have always tried to do my best for everyone I have contact with. I am semi-retired but love working within the Sensory Processing Service.

I am very much a people person and love helping and problem solving and would say my biggest fault is talking too much! I am very family oriented and love going out for afternoon tea.

Fiona

As someone who is passionate about Mental Health, it is has always been important to me to be a part of something that positively impacts people’s lives, and having recently joined the Sensory Processing Service as an Administrative Assistant, I’m delighted to finally be part of a team that makes such a difference!

I spend as much time as I can travelling, and when not exploring, I can usually be found with a good book, planning my next adventure or, most importantly – hanging out with my snakes, pretending to be a Bond villain.

Annabel

I am incredibly passionate and committed to ensuring children and young people with sensory processing difficulties have every opportunity to reach their optimum in every day life and have the right support to reach their goals. Sensory processing differences can have a significant impact on individuals every day life and being a part of improving their quality of life and wellbeing through the work we do gives me great pride in doing the job I love.

In my spare time I love to bake, as well as walks in the countryside with my family and dog.

Hannah

I’ve always been passionate about working with children and families, so being part of the Sensory Processing team as an Associate Practitioner in Occupational Therapy truly feels like a perfect fit. Every day, I’m grateful for the chance to help children and their families better understand and navigate their sensory needs. It’s incredibly rewarding to see the difference that personalised, meaningful support can make.

I’m deeply committed to delivering care that’s not only high-quality but also kind, thoughtful, and tailored to each child. I love learning and am always looking for new ways to grow and strengthen my skills so I can offer the very best support possible.

When I’m not at work, you’ll likely find me curled up with a good book, refreshing a room with some home décor, or elbows-deep in a DIY project—anything creative and hands-on!

Tim

With nearly 20 years of teaching experience, I now work with the Sensory Service to support children, young people, and their families in managing sensory processing challenges. Helping others navigate their world and make meaningful progress is a rewarding and amazing part of my role.

Martha

I’m Martha – Advanced Speech and Language Therapist and Sensory Integrated Practitioner for the team. I have a lot of energy and love spending time in clinic with our young people so I can burn it off! I enjoy watching my son play football and love chilling out with my three cats – if I had a superpower, I would definitely want to be able to communicate with animals.
