Hull Breastfeeding Support

Goodwin Breastfeeding Peer Support service

Peer supporters all have lived experience of breastfeeding and have completed training in how to support others.

They can support on the phone, on the maternity ward, at a face to face or walking group.  It can be home visits, social media, online chat or email support.  It can be about a specific feeding issue, a general chat with someone who has time to listen or a place to meet local mums and parents who are breastfeeding.

Contact details for the helpline, how to arrange a visit and how to access the loan of a breast pump can be found on this link:

Hull is a breastfeeding
friendly City

Hull has over 120 premises that have signed up to the Breastfeeding Friendly Premises Award Scheme. Although the Equality Act of 2010 prohibits anyone from preventing you feeding in public you may feel comfortable knowing that the staff in these premises have a greater understanding of the needs of breastfeeding mothers and babies.

Look out for the Breastfeeding Hub at local events. Join us in the tent to breast feed your baby or ask a professional any questions.
