Training for parents

We run an online Introduction to Sensory Processing workshop for parents and carers, where we explore the eight sensory systems, discuss sensory processing differences, how these may present, and share strategies to support your child or young person.

The Introduction to Sensory Processing Workshop runs via Microsoft Teams and is delivered by a clinician from the Sensory Service for approximately an hour and a half on the following dates:

  • Wednesday 4th November 2026 – 9:30am-11:00am

Please note that a referral is not required, however your child or young person must have a Hull or East Riding GP to access this training.  When completing the form, please provide us with your child or young person’s full name, date of birth and an email address we can contact you on.

Once you have booked your place, a member of the sensory service will contact you with the workshop link closer to the date.

School & SENDCO Training

We have training opportunities for SENCOs – please get in touch if you would like further information about this.

We have other training opportunities running for schools which are available to view in the local authority SEND catalogue.
